DE72 Men's Danger Club

Their mission: To boldly go where men are men, and laugh in the face of deadly peril. Even if it means choking on a latte.

The DE72 Men’s Danger Club is an opportunity for men to get together and enjoy each others’ company whilst doing something together that has a bit of an “edge” to it (often!). It is open to any and all men from St. Michael's, St. Mary's in Draycott, Breaston Methodist Church and indeed anyone with any tenuous connection with Breaston (simply knowing someone already in the club will do!).

The deeds of derring-do range from death-defying curry nights and perilous games of chess, table tennis and jenga to heroic deeds on a golf driving range, scary escapades on a ski slope and risking a dunking while canoeing in (or rather on) the Trent.

Where: somewhere dangerous.  Failing that, a suitable pub.
When: once a month on Friday nights.

Breaston Newsletter

The Breaston Newsletter is produced by the Community Forum, and is delivered by a team of volunteers to every house in the village twice a year, usually in March and September. The newsletter was first published in September 2007 by Breaston Churches Together, and so pre-dates this website by nearly 5 years! Responsibility for the newsletter passed to the Community Forum from the September 2014 edition.

It's a simple folded sheet of A4 that has some items of village news, and acts as a way for organisations to publicise themselves to the village - especially useful for those without internet access.

If you would like to publicise your organisation or event in the newsletter, or to have a flyer inserted into the newsletter, please contact the editor at least as early as the middle of August or February.
