Breaston & Draycott Labour Party

The Breaston and Draycott Branch has an informal and friendly style and tries to be inclusive, and at the same times allows Labour Party members an opportunity to discuss matters of a local, national and international interest. It produces a local newsletter; the Breaston Rose.  It is part of the Erewash Constituency Labour Party.

The Secretary of the Local Branch is Charlie Sarell who lives in the village and has lived in the area for the last 15 years.

The local Branch of the Labour Party brings together Labour Party members living in Breaston and Draycott.  The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together freely in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.
